  Last week my husband rang and talked tyre options as our WOF was near due and my car's front tyres were getting close to needing replacement. He specifically talked about the option of putting the spare wheel with its barely used tyre on the car and buying one tyre to MATCH that. This then rotated a useable tyre to the spare while allowing us to have two good tyres on the car by only buying one. The car was then taken into where they did just that (spare on, replacement tyre to match on other front wheel). This week we failed our warrant as the tyre purchased from bridgestone, and fitted by them didnt not match the other front tyre at all and were not compatible. My husband rang bridgestone who werent interested, basically said it wasnt their fault and our tyre cant have been matchable. These guys are meant to be professionals that is why we sort their advice and went to them for tyres. Instead we ended up with an unsafe driving option, (and if they couldnt match why wasnt that mentioned at the time instead of fitting an incorrect tyre). We ended up having to buy a second tyre elsewhere so we had compatible tyres on the car. In addition we have found out that a replacement tyre that would have been compatible with the spare was readily available and would have been a lot cheaper to purchase than the one recommended fitted and sold to us Bridgestone feilding we came to you for professional advice and work, you made a mistake (which does happen) but you werent interested in owning that mistake or coming up with a solution.
