Great service from senior staff, good cheap coffee. BUT unfortunately the younger staff seem not to be very enthusiastic about their work.

I come about 4 or 5 times a week. Mostly for the coffee. It is reliably great. Fantastic price and the custard slice is best I've had for years. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. But it's the coffee I come for!

Attention Bunnings Lyal Bay Managers/Owners, please invest in teaching your staff proper customer service etiquette, especially how to offer a friendly smile to customers. Staff at this Lyal Bay store act lazy and unmotivated to do much more than shuffle around the aisles aimlessly like zombies. On more than one occasion when asking for advise on a product or simply asking if the product is in stock, the staff at this store rarely do much more than stare blankly at customers who need assistance; they are neither concerned or have a clue about giving the right advice. And, finally, Lyal Bay and its surrounding suburbs have some of the wealthiest occupants in the City, so is a stop and search at exit really necessary? I doubt you will find a cupboard or plant pot stuck under someone's shirt. You are focusing on the wrong area, invest in some training for your staff or more customers like myself will shop elsewhere.

Poor service, not occasionally, have offered no advise as the staffs seems very busy all the time. I used to shopping there as closest and convenience store only. If got some more time, I prefered to go Miter 10 (Mega) in which the much better services provided. In the morning of Monday and Tuesday this week, i experienced a long queue from a single open register while other staffs just standing around. I think it should be better if you have spare time and are only shopping without any advice needed. Not good experience

Big range of products. Helpful staff (with the exception of the paint department early in the morning). Well set out store with knowledgeable staff not far away. Plants are not top quality and are ok if you don't expect 100% survival rate. Check other goods for damage before purchasing. Christmas stock now in store.
