Convinient distance to the city center, however the place itself is falling apart. Staff doesn't seem to care maintaining this place (water dripping from the roof into room and hole in the window fixed with some tape). Generally dirty facilities. Positive about this place was the wifi that was stable and fast...

Old building but nice and quiet environment. Stuff are friendly. Clean bedsheets, shower room and toilets. Big kitchen with enough facilities. Near CBD and city.

I don't recommend this place, only good thing are the people you meet but then again you can find that in any other hostel. The hostel is not maintained at all, a lot of theft happens, two rooms are exposed to the rumbling of the laundry machines, there is no space in the room to store anything, no curtains in the rooms, managers are on the edge of being retarded and useless in every aspect (they are not mean though) If you ever receive a package from the post services you will never get it due to their inability to manage anything, don't ever trust them with anything they will loose it or give it to someone else (true story).

Ok, as long as you don’t mind getting your food thrown away or stolen every week and experiencing semi regular double bookings which force you to move beds, overall management is poor and doesn’t really care about the customers

Really interested building which has had some pretty important guests over the years including the Queen of Tonga and also the Queen of England. Lovely feel to the place. Very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were a decent size. The kitchen was clean and spacious and the living room area was really well set out and comfy. The hostel is just a couple of minutes walk from Parnell high street which means that you have shops, restaurants and bars nearby. Would certainly stay here again.
