  I used to eat here all the time as they always had the delish shrimp cocktail which is my favourite. Sadly last time i went they had changed the sauce on the cocktail and it was horrible. Apparently it is all Gluten free or some other crazy reasoning. Sadly i haven't been back. Used to work here back in 1982 and no-one died from the sauce recipe that i know of.

  Good on kid's birthday. Made a real fuss over her. Meals were better than expected. Nice and warm in the centre of the dining room. Staff were also good, a significant improvement over last year's experience.

  OMG the food is amazing i am so glad I keep going back on my birthday the first time I went there it is so tidy and never had food so so good

  I've never complained about a restaurant meal before in my life but the experience here was pretty terrible. Asked for two entrees with one to be served with the mains. They both arrived at once so the 2nd one was cold by the time I got to eat it. The seafood chowder had a tablespoon size lump of stock powder in it which I had to spit out. The drinks service was non existent and had to get up and ask for service 3 times when tired of waiting and then it was still a 15 minute wait for drinks to arrive.... and it wasn't even a busy night.

  Staff were mainly good, Although we felt rushed. The food was average to be generous. I don't feel the food was restaurant or chef quality, More average home cook.. We were not approached and asked how our food was or asked how it was when we paid. Today in Invercargill it's hot! Arround 25° this evening. We found the restaurant uncomfortably hot. We expected some kind of air con. We left without desert due to the heat in there. Cobb & Co in the past has been a family favourite of ours. Not sure why it seemed bad tonight!
