  Great swimming opportunities for the whole family. Toilets and showers close by, along with nice walks and food outlets. Very convenient. Named after a character in a Dickens novel / type of trout.

  Great place to walk the dog, haven't been since new "off leash" areas have been posted, so hoping my pup wont be disappointed next time we visit.

  Popular location with locals. Being in the estuary water gets bath like in summer. Shallow and safe most of the time. Part of the pauatahanui _porirua harbour system that is under threat longterm from sedimentation.

  Beautiful spot. Easy access with a car park right there. And also a nice way to get onto the Cambourne walkway. Toilet facilities and a coffee truck during the week. Good food options across at Paramata shops (Marina espresso is my favourite). And there is an underpass to get across SH1 so you don't have to dodge traffic.
