Partner and I went for a coffee just to check this place out, and ended up eating a light brunch as well, plus buying a couple of things from the deli. Nice fresh interior, good attendance by wait staff, good coffees (disclaimer, we're coffee dabblers, not connisseurs) and the food was decent. A bit pricey, and I was expecting a lot more product range in the delicatessen section.

We went for my grandmothers birthday, there were 10 of us and maybe they weren't used to big groups because the service was very slow and the food was average at best. We were very disappointed

I've always loved this beautiful Art Deco building so was keen to try the new eatery located there. Down the Road offers a select range of simply delicious food. We went for lunch. I had the chorizo fritters which were the best fritters I have ever tasted. Somehow they had a little crispy crunch which kept them light and away from the more traditional stodgy fritter texture. My partner had the pulled pork crepe which he also raved about. He described his coffee as the best he has ever had several times while he drank it. The little lemon and coconut cake we shared was also light and divinely delicately flavoured. The servings are not huge but were perfect for a quick lunch. And the arecreadonably priced given the very high quality. I can't wait to go back!

This place is amazing, the food is delicious but the chocolate mouse (dessert below) is a little pricey but well worth the cost. The cafe owners have kept the original detail of the building but at the same time kept it modern, white and stylish and a little classy. It's definitely a must go place... And the view form the backyard and top belcony are great!!!
