Free dinner every night which is good, great location and nice staff as well (except in the bar, the guy is so lazy and slow even without rush). Some rooms are good, some rooms are too tiny for 6 or even 8 peoples... And there is some bed bugs even if the rooms are quite clean... This backpacker is one of the best for this price in Auckland... I will come back for sure !

Good for the price. Very well located. I stayed 2 nights in female room shared (8beds). A great common room. All the staff is nice.

I didn't stay here so can only comment on the bar. It's small but somehow manages to cram in a pool table and a gambling room. Very casual place, cheap drinks and cheap food draws in a young crowd.

Beds were significantly more comfortable than expected. Clean room, came in worried about bed bugs but concern from past reviews was not warranted. Reception Staff were a bit unpleasant/upfront when coming in after midnight. The bar downstairs is cheap as cheap can be, good place to drink a few jugs before going out.

I rarely post bad reviews, but even with more than a thousand travel days in my logbook this place just took the price for worst hostel. There seems to be people somewhat permanently living there, things are stolen in the dorms, there's a water leakage in the luggage room (which was "fixed" with a few towels). The common area looks like a thrift shop which got robbed. Also had to break myself out of the shower as the lock wasn't functioning properly. It seems to be a place with a lot of cool ideas, but they are trying too hard and forget about the essential things.
