  While there is a main pool outside under the tree ferns, our favorite thing is to rent one of the private pools for an hour. You can opt for a pool in a covered room, or choose one of the pools with an open roof. (We prefer the latter, but we've never been here when it's been really cold.) The rooms are clean and well maintained, and there's a handy shower next to the pool so you can wash off before you get dressed. (Note: it can take awhile for the shower to warm up; give it some time). There's also a private toilet attached to each room. If you decide to do this on the spur of the moment, you can rent a towel and, if needed, swimsuits. This really is a fantastic treat, especially on a cloudy afternoon.

  Just had a great night at Fernland Spa. Stayed on the campground with our campervan and enjoyed relaxing swims in the pool last night and this morning. Lovely clean place and beautiful settings. Highly recommend a visit to these awesome pools with super friendly staff.

  Beautiful setting. Private Spa rooms are available. Also a communal pool. Bathing suits must be worn, no cotton board shorts or T-shirts are permitted. Very relaxing & refreshing.

  Friendly staff and clean facilities, very nice and natural feel with backdrop of many ferns and other native plants. Quite a warm, medium size pool, safe for kids 5 and up. No diving.

  Nice place close to Tauranga city. We received a friendly welcome and enjoyed a couple of hours here. The bathrooms are clean without being fancy. The pool was clean and the water was nice and warm. The native bush surrounding the pool was the icing on the cake.
