  Long story short. I had a problem with my fuel door not opening on Octavia vrs 2014 model. I googled and figured out this is a common issue and is even registered on Skoda official forum. I enquired with Giltrap Skoda the next day, they denied having any knowledge of this common issue and advised that they have never encountered this issue on Octavia. They asked me to bring the car in to have a look. I called in on 24hrs after drop off to get an update on the job and the service manager advised me it will cost $650.00 for the replacement part (fuel flap actuator) and additional labour. From the Octavia forums I knew the replacement part was only €30.00, so I called the other Skoda dealer in Auckland. They straight away confirmed that this is a known issue and it would cost approximately $200 for complete repair by looking at their previous job history. I enquired back at Giltrap regarding the price variance and they have been caught red handed. After 5 mins they called me and gave a repair cost of $260. They didn’t have the decency of explaining the price variance if it was an error or neither apologised for this which leads me to believe it was a ‘rip-off’ attempt. How this whole story went, I won’t be surprised to learn that they have done this to other customers too. So if you have a repair, please double check the pricing as now you also have another Skoda dealer in Auckland.

  Wonderful accommodating staff. Car salesman have changed dramatically! No pressure selling almost a laid back but attentive service.

  The sales people are really good here offering things like taking a car home for the night if your not 100% sure. Also if you have never thought of owning a Skoda I would recommend just giving one a drive before buying another car....i had already made my mind up on another car but my wife took me to Skoda kicking and screaming. Once I drove one I was sold straight away. These cars are awesome and the finance deals are great too.
