Our initial experience with a sales lady from Hannahs Whangarei was pleasant and she was very helpful. We spent $262 on 2 pairs of shoes. She explained that we had 2 weeks to exchange the shoes if we don`t like them. On Friday 29/04/2016 we went to the store as we did not like one of the 2 pairs. It hurt my wife`s feet on the inside. My wife was referred to the manager. I could hear the manager raise her voice and my wife was accused of abusing the shoes. It was only worn indoors and still looked brand new. After your manager started screaming, my wife gave her the shoes, as she was going to have them stretched. I saw that my wife was traumatised by the ordeal, so I went to the back of the store, not inside your store room and asked for the shoes, as could not trust such a person. If something happened to the shoes, she will not take any responsibility. I went to the back, in order to keep the conversation discreet, as the store was full of people. Your manager then took the shoes and threw them right at the back of the storeroom and started screaming again, accusing me of abusing her. She was the only one screaming, so I don`t know how I could have abused her. She then told us to leave the store immediately. I told her that I will leave as soon as we received our shoes. She the carried on screaming and threatened us with calling security. By now the shop was empty of patrons. She gave us back the shoes and we made our way to door. She then shouted for the security that was passing by to escort us out of the store. By that time we were already leaving the store and the officer did not know what she was on about. We have never been so abused and insulted by anyone - ever. This manager should not work with public. She is very aggressive and she never smiles. We now have $129 shoes that we cannot use. Thank you Hannahs.
