  Very easy access as its in the town, staff are very friendly and helpful, they have gamut of information to assist customers.

  I went there recently (2016) for my passport renewal. The fellow Indians were as usual standing in the queue and trying to break the line. Everyone wanted to get his/her job done before the other. The person in-charge was having a very tough time. One foreigner willing to go to India was pushed aside and had been standing in queue for more than 1 hour. People coming for passport renewal were then taken inside to another hall and everyone was individually taken care of one by one. The person-in-charge did a wonderful job. I had to wait for long but I understand their problem. I just wish that the fellow Indians there were more polite and honest. The person at the reception was rude though, as he just did not care for the people - possibly a new recruit. And for the number of people coming to high commission the office space is wat too small. They also need more staff. They need an actual appointment system and a proper management of queue. But they are getting there and at the moment doing a good job - with the resources they have.

  Ive had a terrible experience trying to get my PCC. It's been over 13 weeks, still nothing. All my follow up lead to a standard response...'We are waiting for the local police in India to process the request ' why is there no adequate follow ups? According to the website time taken should be 4-5 weeks. Of course they don't care about the time frame. But people's life are being affected by it. They then ask me to follow up with Indian police myself. What? How?! They're response - Google it. The staff is so incompetent at their jobs that they expect us to do it for them. What a shame.

  I am a citizen of India, and my partner is a new zealand citizen. I am applying for my residency under partnership for which we both needed police clearance certificates since we were in India for a long time. So well I tried calling them and yes the above reviews are right in their statement that nobody answers the call. HOWEVER, since we both needed the PCC certificate, I downloaded the form, attached the documents they required and sent it to the office in Wellington. I then expected it to well take forever, but, to my pleasant surprise I got my PCC in 8 days and my partner in 12 days. I hope this review helps.
