  We have changed our doctors because we moved places .From $10 I used to charge from my old medical to $41 I now pay to see the doctor in here. We just pay the money and then wait for almost 1hour and 30 mins even though i made an appointment. It's ridiculous!! The receptionist were just talking so loud and laughed as if they are chatting in the bar drinking beer! hello this is a place for sick people who needs a quiet moment while dealing with the pain but you laughing and talking so loud because it was empty no customers was not helping for customers waiting for the doctors to be available

  I am flabbergasted reading the reviews below. I've been going there for 8 years and have always found them pleasant and helpful.

  Do not go to Lower hutt health centre they are only ripping you off. You pay $41 to see the doctor for only 15mins and you have to only consult one health issue so if you have another health issue you will have to pay another $41 to see the doctor again. The doctors are also not experienced they are only there for the money and does not care about the patient at all. I saw Dr. Alexander Lynch and he talked about one issue for 15mins and then ask to book another appoinment to talk out the other health issue, very disappointed, wasted my money, this is the last time I go there.

  Having to wait at hutt city health centre for a minimum of 1 hour is very common. If you intent to make an appointment and reach there asking how long the wait is, you will get the answer you are next but you wont be seen for until 1 hour or more. Many times its not because of the doctor running late but receptionist not clicking you in as they will be busy chatting. It has happened many times to me and today after a bad waiting experience again i have decided to review them, after a long wait when i checked with the receptionist how far is the doctor as he grabbed 3 patients before me and she said i will be next when i arrived,she replied are u walk in? what is your name? Because, even after i gave my name she forgot to tick me in that i have arrived, when i asked for refund she was not apologetic about the situation and was happy to send me back without thinking i am sick. All it mattered for them was if they are running late that is all good because they are use to it. I do request to take some steps regarding time management as running late for over 1 hour is not acceptable all the time. The only good thing about the clinic is Helpful doctors, Receptionist definitely needs empathy training and the clinic needs to look down and book a realistic time for patients. I Am Very disappointed with poor service from reception.

  Dr walker was great, so friendly and very thorough. Never made me feel rushed and took the time to explain things I asked about. However, just found out she's left which is disappointing. Haven't had any other doctors yet. The walk in clinic is a good idea, but a bit unreliable.
