::My one star is a token because in this instance id like to give a zero. Ive been with this practice for just near a year as we moved into the area. Time management is an issue. Most appointments run 15 to 20 minutes late.its sad that i actually now allow for that. I realise they are expanding and so are looking after other practices but why then bother to take on appointments you can not be at, AND if you cant be there, shouldnt the first course of action be that you CALL the patient as you have all their details and inform them? Id think so but apparently not. I arrived at 11.30 for an 11.45 aptmnt. Made several days ago. I took my form and sat down. I dont know why but i glanced at it,saw the time had been changed to 12 and im no longer seeing the doctor i had booked but the nurse on duty...no one asked me if this was ok. When i questioned why this was changed and i wasnt told, oh yeah sorry about that was response. Im sick of sorries because ppl seem to think saying that absolves one of disrespectful behaviour, of costing me both time and expense. I had hired a sitter for my dog because he has just had cruciate surgery and cant be left alone.i needed to make this aptmt so booked her for 2 hours. Thats my half hour travel time plus i allowed the delay i am so used to. Thats all out of pocket expenses for an aptmt that didnt happen because the dr i booked was not there and thought that “leaving notes with the nurse” was enough. Notes for what?? I hadnt event told him the reason for my visit other than i needed referrals to specialists. Ridiculous right? Im very disappointed because this isnt the first time. Once is forgivable but two and more becomes a pattern and should be looked into. Committing to more than you can deliver is not being fair to anyone including yourself. Im seriously looking for a new practice now but will miss the convenience of this one and one great receptionist , Chetna. The location is great for all the new builds here etc and thats why the complacency i think.

::We are locals, my husband arrived here to see a doctor as our regular GP is based in central Auckland. But the concern is reasonably serious. He was turned away from meeting with the resident practioner due to not having with him a passport when he arrived to see a doctor, to complete their forms of acceptance ? He did have on him a NZ driver license, however this was unacceptable to their protocol of signing with this medical centre. He is a NZ citizen and local resident. Not that this should matter. My issue ... when someone arrives to see a doctor there is a reason! When should bureaucracy be more important than the health of an individual seeking medical advice ? The receptionist at this centre was rude obnoxious and frankly an embarrassment to the medical profession! If someone/ anyone arrives needing to see a doctor there is a reason, execute compassion and put the paper work to one side for the sake of health and well being.
