I had a very good stay at the hotel - as a solo female traveller there was never a concern with privacy or security. I took a single room which included a sink/desk/kettle and tea - shared bathrooms down the hall. All was very clean and well kept - yes the decor, building and bedding is a bit older but if you want budget friendly centrally located hotel than this is the way to go. Don't expect The Ritz. Location : VERY good (downtown, close to shops, harbour, etc) and bus stops very close by if needed. Downside : some doors were very noisy when closing (ie: women's toilets) thus a very loud slam shook the halls if left to close on their own; walls are thin so if you're a light sleeper - take ear plugs. Thanks for the stay - I'd come back.

I'll get right to it. The room was absolutely tiny, with barely enough room to walk around someone anywhere in the room. 2 beds, and a sink are in the room. No sound proofing, and we were right across the hall from the elevator so we got to hear every single person who entered or left the floor. The toilet was a 2 minute walk to the other side of the building, with 2 doors, and a final locked door to get to it. You have to time your showers with whoever you're staying with so someone doesn't get locked out of the auto locking room. But it was cheap. I didn't have my standards high, but the rooms were very outdated and lacked many things I considered standard for a hotel room. I won't return.

Perfect for a one or 2 night stop over. No frills but clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location.

Fast and polite service. Good location. Basic and old but clean and functional rooms. Bed was good for a long person (no raised part at the leg end). Reasonable for the price.

You get what you pay for, but this place is nice all the same. Friendly staff. Great location and central to all you need. Including buses. Was a little noisy but may have been the guests at the time. The heaters were on full time in the rooms so it was warm, and possibly a little too warm. Couldn't see how to turn them off (radiators). Would return if I needed cheap accommodation again in Auckland.
