Good restaurant and atmosphere. Burger and chips was great however the beef Paddie was slightly undercooked on the inside. Otherwise very good. Sat next to a very noisy birthday party. Staff should've handled the noise better 😊

We dined here with work, the staff were all lovely and friendly. The food was massive serves with ok flavours. The calamari was very bland, the steak was boarding in undercooked (medium rare) but was nice none the less.

We had a family meal with our grandchildren attending, 1x 11yrs, 2× 5 yrs, we had barely sat down when we were being asked if we wanted to order. We placed drinks orders, most came out in yime, but then we watched 4-5 staff standing in the bar talking & finally had to ask for a requested drink again. Once our orders arrived, the kids meals were half a plate of coleslaw. How many kids eat coleslaw? The adults meals also had half a plate of coleslaw. How can meals cost $35-$39 when it's mainly coleslaw? There weren't many chips either. After the kids sundaes came out & they couldn't eat them because the chocolate sauce tasted funny, we left, everyone of us still feeling hungry. We gave feedback, but that didn't seem to register. First time we've been in a very long time...and last.

Paige was amazing. A refreshing waitress who has above and beyond skills needed, with a watchful eye of a restaurant, not just her section! The type of service I expect when I'm overseas, not here in humble town Invercargill! And the food was perfect as well. But I'd return for the service alone! Well done Paige! I hope you are aiming for management or a training roll for a company nationally! If I had or knew of a roll, it would be yours!

Lone Star is one of our favorite restaurants to eat at. First time at the Southland one and you did not disappoint :) catering for my mother in law's wedding, the food was excellent along with the service. A great place for functions, celebrations or just a lovely meal
