  You’ve got to try the brekky here! Try Cesar’s silky scrambled eggs with chorizo mince or spicy mushrooms. I’m making my way through this Central American inspired menu and haven’t been disappointed yet. It is a hidden gem in Wellington and well worth seeking out. Paul makes great espresso based coffee which you can try with one of the array of home made treats. All this in really cool surroundings.

  **Reviewing everything but the coffee** Machete is the kind of place that really makes you appreciate being in Wellington, where unique establishments can flourish. The setting is immaculate and clean lines all over, the food is delicious. The salsa is something else. I couldn't get over it. The guac was okay, a little bland, but because I'm a millennial I'll never turn an avocado down. Of course the food mostly shares common ingredients and components, but that just means the food gets out quicker to you. The sodas were refreshing. I really enjoyed the recommended Hibiscus one. All in all, a really pleasant experience. Will be back to try their coffees.
