  Food was g8, best hamburger with fresh lettuce and slices of tomato. Order of potato chips were hot and crisp. Excellent service and tables clean. An excellent stop for travellors.

  If you haven’t been in here I suggest you do, the pies are fantastic. Like I would give them a gold medal fantastic. I will be back again to try the cheese burger someone spoke about in one of the other reviews. Oh and the staff where really friendly as well.

  ......THEY ARE NEW OWNERS EVERYONE...... Trust me I've been to the diner every time they had new management and it was the same owners each time. They sold the diner to one of my work mate's. We have been there multiple times since and all I can say is Max's Diner had the best meals that I and my family had ever eaten in Oamaru. Fresh quality food, coffee on the go and takeaways for locals and traveller's on the move with Lovely and Awesome customer service.   Being a sales Rep I tend to eat at alot of places. I tried this place and wow, really impressed. Great little place very friendly service. I was taken back by the great price and great old fashioned service. The food was wonderfully cooked and well presented. The atmosphere was great and felt very content after my meal. I will certainly return in the coming weeks on my way through Oamaru.
