The hotel is very run down with little to no maintenance done for many years. Upon arrival it took upwards of 45 mins to get checked in due to staff member not knowing what to do. Our room had ripped curtains which didnt keep the light out at all. Air conditioning unit rattled loudly to the point it woke you up overnight if let on, yet the room is hot and stuffy without it. Milk not supplied. No minibar. Bed was not comfortable. Bathroom was dirty upon arrival, toilet had a constant running leak. No soundproofing - could constantly hear other rooms conversations or showers, doors are regularly slammed as they too have not been maintained. Light bulbs missing from 3/4 lights in the room. Housekeeping left room service leftovers in the room for over 2 days, despite being through the room for tidying. Extremely disappointed, this hotel needs a huge cash injection to get it up to standard.

Stayed at a standard twin room booked via booking.com, paid $152 plus $28 for parking. Since this hotel has a small underground car park, we parked at Wilson nearby. Two small elevators, cramped room, low ceilings, no A/C & dusty fan. Staff at reception was great and helpful, tho.

Just a shout out to Jenifer at the restaurant who looked after me last month. She is a delightful hostess and was very helpful with my meal selections which was all delicious. She is an asset for this restaurant and has the X factor in service.

Positive Points: Great city centre location. Breakfast buffet is excellent and great value for money. The super king beds are extremely comfortable. Negative Points: Very noisy overnight, bedrooms doors banging and street noise. Rooms and communal areas are dated and grubby. Carpets and upholstery in rooms all need a deep clean. No off street parking. Staff friendly and helpful but hotel needs a big injection of cash to update and feel fresh again.
