  In need of competition. I needed a piece of perspex for a project, and unfortunately bunnings selection was only 3 mm. So I went to Metro Direct, only stockist of Perspex in Whangarei. Had to wait weeks for them to re-open after the holiday. Yesterday - they had finally reopened so I went calling. Counter staff unhelpful - impression was that I was bothering them - told me the fellow who cuts it was away. Finally convinced them to cut me a piece - had to come back in several hours. On picking up - they told me the 1550x1150 4.5mm piece was $422! (BUnnings had similar sizes of 3 mm for $90). So from price and service perspective - I would avoid Metro Glass Direct at all costs. (Also tried to check on getting a chip on windscreen fixed - got the same 'we are too busy for you, go away' attitude).

  Very busy and were not good at returning phone calls. Once I got the car in there though they were fairly well organised. Although the most important thing was the workmanship was outstanding on the old Impala. Very happy with their work.
