  The service I received was great - Ever, the sales assistant, appeared to know her products. My only gripe is that the lifetime guarantee is valued on the 'retail price' and not the price that is paid for the item

  I have purchased quite a few items from Michael Hill over the years and have never experienced anything like this before. I was looking in the window from outside along Lambton Quay and was approached by a MH sales person, I then went into the store, they followed me around the store, kept offering to show me the sales, what are you looking for, can I help you with anything, can I show this, can I show you that, telling me what type of metal would suit me, asked if I want my ring cleaned, was I a tourist, was I going to the rugby etc etc etc, it was full on, not just a nice friendly chat - I felt very uncomfortable (which she obviously did not pick up on) and bid a very hasty retreat.
