  Great backpackers in an awesome location! The staff were all wonderful and super chatty + friendly. Really nice social atmosphere, and easy to meet people. Room was kept clean and tidy throughout my stay. All in all I had a wonderful time here. :)

  Not a very good place to get rest, quite noisy, but the owner is very nice and helpful and many of the guests were enjoying the nonstop party experience.

  Lovely place. Come here for the best boards. Huge selection. She even has surf cams on the go!

  I am so happy that i stumbled across this place. I was in an 8 bed dorm and everyone was respectful, slept like a baby. The place is very communal and has a friendly social vibe. I didnt get a chance to surf but if its the perfect place to learn or practice, you can rent everything you need and walk to the beach! As I was checking out, the owner noticed I was planning to hitch hike and drove me to a perfect spot to stand! we chatted and shes a super cool lady. The best part about this hostel is the generosity and kindness of the volunteer staff. I left my hiking boots in my room and they texted me notifying me that they found them. They even express shipped them to me all the way to the south island and I had them in two days! This cost them money and time and lots of driving! you guys ROCK plus its super clean and conveniently located. and affordable.
