  Great museum. Make sure not to just walk through the ground floor galleries, hit the library and think you're done-there's more.uo and downstairs. The earthquake exhibition is a highlight.

  I took my class to an education programme based around the exhibition of cubism in NZ art. The programme was excellent and my children loved their art gallery experience.

  An interesting experience with a variety of exhibits well worth a visit. Good information on the 1931 or thereabouts earthquake.

  Really disappointing. My first visit to the MTG and man an I glad it was free. Very small exhibitions crammed into a very small space. I used to enjoy going to the old museum and this was a real disappointment

  A very nice museum with detailed explanations and varied collections. Very nice building too, and it's free. When in Napier don't miss this.
