Family dog was attacked by another dog while staying over New Year and humanely ethuanised 15 days later following extensive medical care. Kennel staff made contact after 10 days to check status.

Extremely happy with the service. Our two huskies spent 5 days at Newstead Lodge over New Years with no dramas . Easy to deal with and great facilities and most importantly happy dogs. Thanks guys 😃

We've been taking our pets to the Lodge for over 20 years. Our current dog goes most days for doggy kindy (aka daycare); he rushes in the door each morning with huge enthusiasm, which is a great indicator that he's happy there. The staff are wonderful - they know each dog by name, let us know how they're doing (including messages while we were on an extended overseas trip), and make us feel like a part of the family. Our cats go there too, for the occasional holiday stay. They're always very well looked after (on occasion it's been hard to get them to leave). And the charges for daycare, sleepovers, & longer stays are very reasonable. I'm 110% happy to recommend the Lodge to everyone.

While staff were very friendly and the price reasonable, my boy returned home filthy, had cuts on his head, broken nail, gastro bug (though I've attributed that to stress and sudden change if food) as well as an eye infection. A review on infection control probably wouldn't hurt as well as a physical check on animals coming in to be boarded before being placed with others. A vaccination record isn't proof of clearance from all disease. Will not be returning as this stay has become incredibly expensive due to vet bills. Unlikely to recommend either.
