It's a really smelly and worn down place. Hot with bad ventilation. No staff in reception 11-14. The showers and toilets offer poor privacy and are unisex. The kitchen is located at the top floor and it's really small. They do have a place on the roof top where you can sit and eat. Been staying here twice, but would really not like to come back. Pretty cheap, 32$, 29$ with kiwi experience. It's a place to sleep but not any more really.

Hi guys I have being staying on Auckland Nomads for about 8 years minimum one’s a month I come to Auckland and hare is the best place I found to stay, over the years many people worked there and hardly found someone who didn’t change me to another room when I asked to, the mattress have Been improved big time the pillows too the bed it’s always very nice and clean can’t complain about, the rooms well some of tham I have to say it’s hard to stay but normally it’s because the smelly shoes or dirt clothes from guests or from people who never wants to turn the lights off but all ways when things like that happen I go back to de reception and they get it sorted with no problem. Toilets they clean every morning but during the daytime people in some of the toilets you can see they missed the role, showers are awesome, big mirror for the girls hair dryer Etc.. The place it’s cool I don’t know if they know me but they do respect me and I have been treated very well all those years, After all sometimes On the checkout i see the girl who was there when I first come in and she still got that sweet smile and wish me e good day her Name is Laura. Thank you all you guys and see you guys soon.

It is not a good place. Rooms are too dirty. Stuff was every where, even over clean beds. Have to use Common areas to charge devices because there was only 4 charging plugs for over 10 guests. No security as locked doors were held open using a lid from a rubbish bin. Free WiFi is actually at a shop next door and you can only use it in business hours. Half of the toilets on floor 3 had no toilet paper and all the toilets I tried had no soap. The biggest feature of this place is the "roof top spa" which I found was closed due to maintenance. After looking at other reviews, the spa seems to have been closed for months. Why is there advertisements advertising a spa is available when it is not!

Location is the big draw for this hostel. It's very close to Auckland Central and makes getting around easier. The rooms left me wanting. There was mold growing on the bathroom wall in the room I stayed in. Unfortunately that room had no window and, during the summer heat, results in a very stuffy room. Check in and check out went extremely smoothly and the staff were friendly. The only problem is that they prioritized check-ins based on who had the tipi app, which didn't seem to speed up the check-in process. Finally, the price was very competitive amongst hostels and made my stay in Auckland much cheaper than staying in a hotel. All in all, great location if you plan on being out of your room for most of your stay.

Stayed in a private elite double room. Room was very small, pretty much only a bed with bathroom and tiny amount of floor space. Place was pretty clean however. Small windows with no view and no air flow. Typical back-packers - noisy, old and fire alarms going off at night. No AC included and kitchen on roof top is cleaned very rarely, or maybe only by the visitors who don't care about it when they leave. Internet was actually pretty good but only works for one device (despite what ever they tell you, you cant switch it to another device). Would only recommend if you are okay about average back-packers accommodation.
