  Hi all, I would like you to be aware of Tracy Telfer who runs Northland Cake Tin Hire. I hired a cake stand off her and she refused to give me a full refund of the bond. As per the contract, the item had to be returned within 3 days. I made contact to return it within the 3 days via PM. She saw the message and did not respond. This resulted to it not being returned on time due to her lack of communication. She deducted a penalty fee of the bond and only deposited some of the bond. She acknowledged that she did not respond but still thought I should be penalised because it was late. 1) I made every effort to contact her re pick up and delivery and paid on collection. 2) She deducted a late penalty fee due to her own lack of communication. 3) She did not issue a contract to me and only kept 1 for herself. 4) She is happy to take the money off you when collecting, but will make you wait for her to refund some of the bond money after you return the item. 5) When I saw her to ask for a full return, she refused, chucked the partial amount which was in an envelope and chucked it on the front doorstep and closed the door. Whangarei, beware of this crooked lady.. She will find any excuse to keep your money and not take responsibility for her actions.
