Very Very poor customer service and job not done. I'm living in the Cook Islands. There is no Apple accredited service provider over here. My MacBook would shut down when not connected to power, and sometimes even if connected. I got a friend to take it to NZ and bring it to Oobe Hamilton. I let them know they had to do whatever it takes to get it working properly because I really needed it. They charged me $633. It cost me another $250 to bring it back safely to Rarotonga, only to find out that: yes it works without power supply if I read my emails; I need the power connected if I play a game and as soon as I unplug the power it shuts down, it would shut down randomly anytime. I emailed Oobe about these issues and I got no reply. Knowing that I cannot be physically present at their store seems to dispense them from any professionnal accountability or even ethics.

No wonder brick & mortar stores are not doing well. It's because of employees like Kurt and his other voluptuous colleague (didn't catch his name) . My experience starts on the Apple website where I book an appointment to replace the battery on my phone. Just to be on the safe side after I get the booking confirmation I also call the store to make sure they have the battery in stock. "All good, we'll see you on Thursday". Thursday morning I show up and Kurt greets me (probably before he had his coffee as the there was quite a bit of attitude there) . I tell him I'm here to change the battery on my phone. At this point he starts a long spiel asking if I had ordered the battery, if I had been called about the battery arriving in store etc. I tell him I called the other day and that the battery was in stock?!?! Finally the magic question comes in: "What type of phone do you have?" . I say a 6s. He goes: "A ok, we have that one in stock" Was all of the above necessary?!? Anyway I leave the store, get home and in the mean-time I have an email from Kelvin this time asking me to call them back in regards to my phone. Call him back from skype (DUH - i have no phone). "Mr Alex there is a problem with your phone. 3d touch doesn't work. Would you like us to fix this?" We go back and forth me telling him the phone worked fine before i dropped it off and him saying that the screen needs to be changed . I assume this is their "added value" tactic. Couple of minutes later I realize what 3d touch actually is (I assumed he was talking about touch ID) and tell him that it's not broken, it's just off. Again, was this necessary? All good, a couple of hours later I get an email that the phone is ready for pick-up. When I arrive Kurt tells me that they have replaced the battery for free because ...something something NZ law...Sweet! Get back home, guess what, they forgot to screw the damn thing. The bottom screws were missing..... Go back in town, this time the new girl greets me, I tell her about the missing screws and the other big guy interrupts (both ourselves and the customer he was serving) just to give me the whole spiel about having to order the battery again....Hold your horses Mr....I had the battery changed already, all I need is the phone put together correctly. Answer: "a ok" Again, was this necessary?! Guys you need to get your s*** together and if you're frustrated by meaningless jobs like battery replacements, find another job. UPDATE: they also messed with my settings, I could figure out why the screen would never turn off. They set the "auto-lock" to "never". They had the passcode so why the need to change it?! Also if they did change it for whatever reason I cannot think of, then please change it back.

Jamie is fantastic. Took time out of his day to patiently explain over the phone to me how to set up my new IPhone I purchased. Easy to understand, patient, professional and did the whole thing with grace. I don't write many reviews but when someone goes out of their way and gives exceptional service like Jamie did, I make sure I do. Highly recommend Oobe Hamilton to anyone, especially as they will be more than happy to assist you with anything you need following the purchase.
