Oppies fish and chips is a somewhat well regarded takeaway store in Rotorua; the place represents excellent value for money and the food is pretty good. We ordered plain 'ol boring fish and chips and it did not disappoint. Parking is limited in the area and whilst there are tables to dine in; it's really a take away store. We went there on a rainy evening and the wait for food was not too long. Anyone visiting Rotorua should pop by if they want a cheap and food feed.

Extremely good value. Hoki fish was perfectly cooked and wasn't oily at all. The chips are the best we've ever had and for $10.00 we had more than enough for a hungry family of 4. Highly recommend!

It's a great little place. They serve some of the best fish and chips in town but they also have a wide variety of Chinese dishes to order from. The portion is massive and can be shared with another person.

Very good fish and chips. Great range of other meals too. Excellently cooked oysters. Still sweet and jucy inside batter.

Worst food experience ever. When ordering food, we were told we could pick to have fresh or non fresh vegetables. The advertised price is only for non fresh. All the photos and rewards in the shop are only for marketing purposes mainly to compensate for the lack of quality in food. They even served us fish with lamb in soup. Absolutely disgusting. After ordering 170 dollars worth of food we asked if we could have tomato sauce. The owner asked us to pay for it at the counter. Felt like we were scammed. Food came out all tasted like chilli with black bean. Don't go here. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. Please.
