::On Monday I took my granddaughter to this store to spend her $50 birthday voucher. She was very excited and knew what she wanted. Heading for the children's chapter books at the back of the shop she sorted out three books she wanted but I explained to her they added up to $58. Then we saw the sign over the books that read "buy one book, get the second one half price". I told her she could get them after all. On taking them to the counter the teller told her that sign was finished and ha had forgotten to take it down that morning. The books were $62! I complained about false advertising and disappointing a new 9 year avid reader. I then told him the price he was quoting was wrong which he rechecked and admitted I was right. All the time 2 other staff were hovering and backing him. Meanwhile my granddaughter kindly got the offending sign and gave it to the teller. He thanked her and took her voucher plus an extra $8 that she had in her wallet from her pocket money for holiday treats. Not impressed! The next day I had to return with her twin brother to spend his voucher. He got little help with what he had wanted as he had seen it online on your website. Going to Whitcoulls we had another look and the helpful staff suggested he go online and order. Wonders! There they were on your website so we ordered them using our voucher. Due to arrive in a few days hopefully. I bought the vouchers in Wanganui, a very friendly, helpful staff always! Shame we didn't get the same service from Porirua.
