::If you want to party and only socialise with people by being popular. Go ahead, but I had the worst night ever with 2 couples having sex in the room (4 bed dorm) and being disrespectful. It never happened anywhere else being 5 months in NZ. Go to Tasman Bay backpackers. And the pool... go to the beach or the river, defenitly better! Sorry.

::I do not recommend to book here. The rooms are okay, but nothing special. What was really annoying: Some backpackers living there are cleaning the hostel. Check-out time is 10 o’clock. They start cleaning at 9 o’clock and you can be happy if they agree that you can go on the toilet - no chance to take a shower after 9am!?!. They close the kitchen @~9:15 what is stupid too. They were all in all very unfriendly except the woman at the reception. The showers are very small and the toilets dirty and sometimes there’s no toilet paper left. Soup at 6 is empty at 6:05 pm because it’s not enough. Breakfast was okay. So go somewhere else or book with a bathroom(not big too).

::If you like to party this is the perfect place for you.. I didn't mind the noise because I understand what sort of hostel this is.. BUT if the staff wasn't grumpy all the time, if there was a clean space to cook food, if the bathrooms were maintained throughout the day, and if the sheets on the bed we're actually changed.. I would have a much better rating for this place. AGAIN if all you care about is partying, go for it.. but this place lacks in just about everything else you could imagine. Go to Tasman down the street and get some real hospitality.

::Buzzy hostel with plenty of great facilities - two Kitchens, swimming Pool, spa, table tennis etc. It's a popular place, so definitely Expect It to be busy, especially at peak times.... Fairly young sort of place, so if you're looking for a place to. Meet other travellers and that kinda jazz... It's perfect for You.

::This place was awesome! Great value. We had a 4 bed dorm and were alone one of the nights. They had breakfast and dinner, a pool, sauna and spa, ping pong, pool and a nice kitchen with tons of space and dishes and all for $20 a night, you can’t beat it. There’s also shuttle pick ups to and from the airport there that are cheap if you don’t have a car. The place was walking distance from everything in town too. One of my best hostel experiences anywhere.
