  Close to Devonport and Takapuna but far enough away to be out of the congrstion of the North Shore

  Nice enough for a brief visit, but the place in general could do with a bit of TLC. Affordable for Takapuna, but if you're after somewhere Spick & Span, it may be worth looking elsewhere.

  Its lacking in a few areas. Work paid and how much would determine if it was bad or not. How much am I paying to stay here? Maybe my room was better but it doesn’t deserve 1 star.

  Parklane Motor Inn Takapuna Beach Auckland. I booked this accommodation from Australia using Zuji and it was faultless. The managers accommodated a late arrival without issue - by leaving keys in a safe - and I registered the day after arrival. This was really great service and made a lot of sense. The managers were friendly and helpful without being nosy. I had an interconnecting room and found the noise travelled through. I felt bad for the people who must have been disturbed by our late arrival. I would highly recommend if booking this hotel that you specifically request no adjoining room as discussions between the rooms can be clearly. Otherwise great value for money and a really good location close to the road, but where we experienced no street noise.

  Most disgusting place I have ever stayed at. Mould all over bathroom ceiling, walls and around the spa bath (that does not work) cuttlery not even clean. Found a cockroach on the couch. Holes in walls, broken door handle to go onto the balcony. (Won't lock either) Bed sheets not even clean and top blanket stained. Curtains r nasty. Close to the beach tho and staff are lovely.
