  Really enjoyed our now second stay with you. The only thing I would say against our room was noisy pipes (gurgling at times) but other than that great again !! Breakfast as usual - lovely. Staff amazing. Thanks again. Chris and Jim Bucknell

  Thanks for another great stay at your Hotel which always lives up to expectations!. We highly recommend your hotel to all our friends. However, I would comment on the bathroom toiletries provided. While the quality of these is excellent I do believe the labelling and design leaves a little to be desired. ;In particular the Shampoo, Conditioner and Bath Gel are all in identical green logoed plastic tubes with only the name of the contents being different. This naming is not bold and when in a steamy shower, without one's glasses on, they are almost impossible to distinguish between. Bolder writing or different colours of tubes would be helpful. :-)

  (We have stayed on many previous occasions at the Southern Cross). We arrived on Sunday the 1st March 2018, and went to our room. Once in the room we found the toilet did not flush (after being used by both of us) a little embarrassing to ask for it to be repaired, but we had too. The maintenance guy was lovely and sorted the problem very quickly. The toilet was so close to the wall, you had to sit on the seat, on an angle. The tile grout was very dirty and the rest of the bathroom was very dated (possibly overdue for a revamp). The room (272) was located right next door to the lift and we had very little sleep, as everybody coming in late, woke us up on several occasions, in fact, one group of people talked at the lift foyer for over an hour at about 2am... There was no point in going to reception to get relocated, as we were already told every single room was booked out, due to the ED Sheeran concert. The staff were very accommodating and relocated us to another room for the following night and provided us with free parking, which was much appreciated. Finally on the Monday night at about 12.30am we wanted to order room service for some hot food, however, from the several hot food options, none of them catered for my wife, who has Celiac disease, and is Gluten Free. I then decided not to order anything for myself, as I felt it to be unfair, if I ate in front of her.I do want to mention previous visits have been faultless and even GF hot food was provided by previous staff (toasted sandwiches).
