  We only came here for the oysters since the other highly rated oyster bar in town was out. the oysters were definitely old and actually smelled. I'm so glad we got a few battered oysters to try as well. As expected batter and deep frying masks the multiday old taste and smell. I know it's called an ale house and as a bar it seemed like a cozy place to go to. But it should certainly not be advertised as an oyster bar on google. Or if it is then it certainly shouldn't get its current 4.5 stars.

  Delicious food nice setting. Would be 4 star if we didn't have to go back for a refund due to being charged for double the amount of meals we ordered..

  Excellent beer! This ale house has a very nice atmosphere, excellent beer, attentive staff and good food. The portions are large and it's very reasonably priced.

  Service was excellent and attentive. Lunch which was fish was great. Enjoyed the summer ale over fish and chips. Decent seating area and took a walk in.

  Yeah pretty good here. Unfortunately I think the meals have gotten smaller and more expensive. Food is very good quality tho. And good service.
