  The wifi didn't work the whole time we were there (I had data so didn't mind, but really for how much we paid this place was just pretty on the outside) rooms are clean and big but old. The shower was really nice though). Parking was not included... only $35 valet parking) overall just meh for the money!

  Top advice - if you book a lake view room or suite, pay the extra few quid for a balcony. Without the balcony and accompanying French windows, lake view suites have a tiny window and are dark - very disappointing. Once moved by very helpful staff we enjoyed our stay. Excellent location.

  The hotel is very winter lodge in its decor and it's done well mostly. However whilst a lot of the and it amenities were 5 star there was an element of faulty towers about it at times. Confused staff, weird variances in the quality of the decor. The wheel in air con units are very strange given the overall upscale approach. The hotel seems to be exclusively staffed by sub 24 year olds which goes with the backpacker appeal of the town however failed to see a manager or someone who appeared to have continuity and this is felt both in the service and the consistency of their approach. Overall would easily recommend but if it was a 50/50 call with somewhere else, perhaps read review on that. P.s. book a lake view room unless you like looking at a poured concrete wall or road.

  Great location, just a 5 min stroll into town. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Balcony rooms are superb if you can swing it, giving you a relaxed view over the lake with a glass of wine. Beds are very comfortable too.

  I had room 536, and everything was great. The suite was spacious and there was no noise from the street. My family also dined at Lombardi's and had the 2 course special with wine, which was great. My steak was cooked perfectly. My son enjoyed his selection from the kids menu. We liked the amenities in the public areas - the log fire, the availability of water and cider to guests. Valet parking was handy, especially as street parking in Queenstown would have been hard to find and it was time limited anyway. There was only one minor issue and that was the bathroom was only partly serviced on 26/9. All the towels were replaced and the bathroom cleaned but the toiletries were not replaced, however that's only a minor issue and did not prevent us having an enjoyable stay.
