  Of course, the best place for dessert in Christchurch - a tad expensive! I've never actually been here for a main meal but am keen to visit one day to try. I love it when they have my favourite desserts on the chef's tasting plate (as photographed!). Parking can sometimes be an issue especially on a Thurs / Fri night when the nearby car park area is full.

  The most delicious risotto I have eaten in my life but it's not cheap.

  Good service. Only problem I had was sitting near stairs and getting a draft on my back. Meals were excellent and loved my dessert.

  Food was fantastic and so was the atmosphere and service. And that would garner a 4 star rating if it weren't for the fact that there were only four Vegetarian options on the menu, 3 starters and one main despite saying vegetarian friendly

  We started our South Island trip in Christchurch and this was our morning fuel up stop before we headed out, and what a good decision it was to come here. Impeccably decorated, clean, gracious service and delicious food. The upstairs looks out to the street which is lined by weeping willows, and downstairs you have to option to sit in the sunny balcony. Breakfast eggs, waffles, French bread they have it all. Highly highly recommend, this was of the the best places we tried when we were in New Zealand.
