::I had a terrible experience at Symonds Street Drycleaners. I do not recommend them. They used a chemical which left large bleach stains on the front of my beautiful cream dress. On picking up the item they refused to acknowledge that there were any chemical stains on it. They continued to tell me that I had marked my dress in the first place so I had probably made other stains on it before bringing it to them. When I first brought them the dress I told them because the light pink stain I had made was not very noticeable I didn't want them to proceed with getting the stain out if it could leave marks on or discolour the dress. They proceeded any way. I was very upset by the incident not only because my dress was ruined but also because I was yelled at and blamed when I tried to address the situation. There is always a risk involved when taking clothing to a dry cleaners but the dry cleaner should call before hand to check with the customer and not go ahead with the task if this is the case. The dry cleaner claimed he had a lot of experience I believe that he is stuck in his old ways. Regardless of how often this happens the situation should have been handled in a professional manner and the customer should be treated with courtesy especially if the situation has been distressing for them.
