::A terrible disappointment. Used to be so good so was looking forward to going. But no one was happy with their food and I had 3 bits of gristle in my burger patty. So expensive too. Burger Fuel is way better both in taste and cost!

::The first thing a new proprietor needs to do is sack the entire front of house and bar staff. This place needs a total makeover. Tired, dirty and trashy decor detracts from the British colonial theme. We called in last night for a quick cocktail while waiting for a dinner table nearby. Politely asking if we take a table or wait to be seated was meet with zero verbal response from the 3 staff at the bar (one barman and two wait staff). Instead we got an indifferent shrug of the shoulders from the girl and when we repeated the question, a similar but more aggressive shrug and arrogant look from the barman. That was enough, the 5 of us turned heels and walked straight out. We chose a bar two doors up and enjoyed a great round of cocktails. No wonder the polo club was empty at 8:00 pm. Owner, sell it on to a competent operator or get serious about running a bar. Wellington deserves better from a “once” iconic establishment.

::Not sure why there's hate for this bar. There's a great choice of booze and it's all really well priced. It also doesn't get too busy here either so it's a great place to come if you're looking for a place to chat. Prices are also good and the ciders they have here are delicious!

::Beautiful decor, this place has such a funky vibe. We came on Sunday and they were having a gin special. My partner enjoyed a delicious Espresso Martini which was on part with a dessert. This is a great place but may be a bit pricey for some. We will come back.
