We had a meal here on first table whilst on holiday in Wellington the food and service was fantastic. Great options if your vegan or gluten free, we loved it that much we came back the following night for some more delicious food.

Food is microwaved and bland, hard to make alterations to anything( eg remove peppers) as it is all pre made and frozen and tastes like it. Drinks super skimpy on alcohol and so so overpriced as is the food. Staff turnover is insane(never seen the same people and i have visited 3 times since xmas) and the staff are clueless and rude, and just stood there looking bored. Mexico down the road has fantastic food, service and margaritas.

One of Wellington's institutions, now a chain with branches elsewhere (this is the original). This restaurant and cocktail bar has American style Mexican food. If you're after something more authentic there are other places you could go. The servings here are reasonably large and they have all the standards, as well as a selection of "little bites", which you could use like tapas if preferred. The menu is labelled as to allergens. No vegan dishes. They are popular for cocktails, sangria and other drinks specials. It can be very busy, and when busy can be very noisy. If there are.no seats in the restaurant you may be offered the chance to wait in the bar (upstairs) until a table downstairs is available. This restaurant is not suitable for anyone with mobility challenges, or for wheelchair users.
