  This is situated upstairs on the fist floor. It's an old-style bar lounge that is popular with mature people. Excellent service, cosy ambience and is well located. The bar snacks are delicious and reasonably priced. We tried the warm olives--very good!

  This was a fun bar that reminded me of the coffee shop that I went to during University. Plenty to do to keep you entertained. From books to games to unique drinks this place has it all and the relaxed atmosphere makes it inviting.

  The library is one of the best places to chill and grab a quiet drink in Wellington. Located upstairs on Cortenay place so be careful not to miss the entrance by the waffle spot. The library is beautifully presented with walls lined with books, comfortable seating, amazing cocktails, live performances and amazing staff. Simply a must to visit in Wellington.

  Great atmosphere, and very quirky in a cool way! Bar and snack food options are available, but Library excels in cocktails and it's relax drinks (whiskey etc) menu! You'll find it via signage at street level, but it's next to the ever popular waffles hole in the wall. Up some stairs and through a door, it's a semi formal affair, but dress is not coded. You can be seated in a lounge style setting or up at the bar area, and go about enjoying your evening in relative style. Live music will keep you tapping your toes, and the establishment is quality!

  Super cool bar with excellent cocktails. We popped in here for a drink before catching a show at the opera house. The walls are (understandably) lined with books, the vibe is perfect, and I would happily work my way through their cocktail menu and never be disappointed.
