  The Rotten Apple is the place to be in Hastings. Together with the Common Room the best place! Great atmosphere and nice common area. And the best hostel community Ive ever experienced. So many memories and friends I found here. Definitely my best part in New Zealand so far. If you need an awesome place to stay and work and have the best parties on the weekends, go here!!!!

  The Rotten Apple Backpackers is certainly a special place. Facilities are definitely not the best and it's also not always well organized but the people definitely make up for it! If you're not a fan of banter stay away, but if you do you'll have the greatest time! Location is perfect and work was found immediately.

  Ideal for backpackers looking for long term work. Great vibe and friendly staff. Facilities were not the best for the amount of people staying. If you are not in to the whole party lifestyle then this is not the hostel for you, but overall I had a good time.

  Première impression plutôt correct. Dommage que ça s'arrête à la première. Les gens sont plutôt agréables dans l'ensemble, mais quand même très bizarres et surtout trop fêtards, y compris le personnel. Si vous comptez vous reposer dans cette auberge, je vous conseille d'aller dormir sur la pelouse dehors. En plein milieu de la nuit, ils traversent notre chambre, passent par la fenêtre tout en rigolant et écoutant la musique comme s'il était 16h. Seul point positif, sa proximité avec l'arrêt de bus intercity, d'où le 1/5, qui me semble être finalement une note un peu trop généreuse.

  Pesima, pedi una devolucion de dinero, porque encontre pesimo el servicio y me dijeron que no la podian hacer, todo muy sucio, gritos toda la noche, el recepcionista pesima su amabilidad, junto con su manager
