  After finding the howick cafes packed we decided to take a bit of a wander to see what these tearooms were like. It was well worth the extra walk and the location is perfectly placed for views and the lovely garden around the front and back. The front balcony was a lovely cool spot out of the sun. The food options are equally fabulous with awesome menu and a cabinet full of great cakes and savoury options. We stuck with the cabinet as it was morning tea and enjoyed both a caramel slice and apricot and date slice. The coffee was also tasty and meant we thoroughly enjoyed this stop. We will be back to try the other options soon

  Food was great, but if you like this to come with good customer service, then they fell well short on this occasion. They had no menus for to make my selection from and informed me that they must be all being used. The staff member felt it was then acceptable to walk away and just ignore me opposed to running through a menu with me, or attempting to go and find one. No customer likes to be ignored or not feel valued.

  Wonderful cafe with a range of normal cafe fare but also a great gluten free dairy free and vegan range. Judith is passionate about food and extremely helpful. She does take home meals and catering. Judith adds her own personal touch to her dishes. Highly recommended.
