  'The' place to stay in Oamaru, the Wansbeck was a very neat and well-presented historic BnB. My room was large and very comfortable, with beautiful oceans views from the private tea room that was attached. The breakfast was plentiful and high quality. John and Carol are the most welcoming and gracious of hosts and I cant recommend the BnB highly enough.

  I can't recommend the Wansbeck highly enough. I'd never been to Oamaru before and was made to feel right at home the moment I walked in the door of this B&B. The hosts John and Carol were extremely attentive and made an incredible breakfast with fresh, local ingredients. The rooms are beautifully furnished, warm and comfortable. Watching the sunrise with a cup of tea in the conservatory of the Monterrey room is a must. 10/10!

  My Aunt Helene stayed here towards the end of last year and is still singing the praises of the hosts and the home - so she asked me to put in a review on her behalf. She says the accommodation is fabulous; charming, clean and comfortable. The rooms are great; spacious and include everything you might need. The hosts were welcoming and went above and beyond to make her and her friend, Diane feel welcome - and great local knowledge too. They both really appreciated the care that was taken to make them feel at home - thank you.
