  Excellent selection, great prices (I recently bought my regular box of beer from the supermarket in Petone and discoveded it was $3.00 more than I pay at Thirsty Liquor in Maungaraki). Jimmy is a Maungaraki local with a young family who cares about his community. He stocks the best range of top end Whisky in Lower Hutt. I recently bought a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label from him that wasn't much more than I pay duty free when travelling. His beer and wine selection is impressive, and if you start talking to him about wine, he usually has been to the winery or knows a lot about it. I mentioned my wife's favourite Pinot Gris and now he was stocks it, at a great price too! When my brother-in-law comes down from HB, he doesn't bring anything to drink from home, he always calls in to pick up supplies from Thirsty Liquor on his way up Dowse drive. Great service.
