  I have been going to Vilagrad Winery for the past 15 years and always find it enjoyable and a great place to take overseas guests. My friends still talk about the great experience dining there. I'm taking my friend from the states who has requested for the 3rd time to have Sunday lunch at Vilagrads, it's always on his "must do" list when in NZ.

  I went to Vilagrad Winery for lunch today with a group, and had the unfortunate experience of while being at the buffet having to listen to the person who was cutting up the meat complain and blasphem about people who didn't say thank you and how f......g tired he was and didn't see his family etc. The people who were around me really felt upset by this, and as we said, we could understand why people didn't say thank you with his attitude. We did ask a waitress who he was to be told he was one of the sons of the owners. The food was nice but this certainly put a damper on our afternoon as we felt we had paid good money for this and didn't need to be subjected to his language or attitude.

  Gorgeous location. Attended a friends wedding here in winter. Were blessed with good weather but either way the venue was amazing!

  We recently ate at Vilagrad for Sunday lunch for Fathers Day. It was amazing - the food was so delicious and well cooked - melt in your mouth lamb, beautiful whole snapper and the salads were so fresh. It was so nice to make the most of the nice weather and enjoy a glass of wine outside in their beautiful court yard. So relaxing. I would recommend Vilagrad to anyone thinking about, and I can't wait to go back (trying to talk my husband into having his Christmas function there). A must visit for everyone.

  I have been to Vilagrad a number of times for various occasions. I recently went there for a friend's wedding. There was something quite different about going there for a wedding. The place really looked amazing and the table settings were beautiful. I was so impressed with the staff, the wine and (of course) the food. Toward the end of the evening, my friend (the bride) was given a photo album from the owner and the photos were gorgeous! I can't believe they can make an album in a few hours and have it ready for the couple to take away. I would definitely recommend Vilagrad as a wedding venue (or for Sunday lunch, or for a work function, or for the wine...)
