. (01/2018) Wellington Botanic Garden is an awesome collection of gardens, walkways, parks and viewpoints. There are multiple entrances from different directions with easy access. Some of the attractions at this amazing place include Rose Garden, Remembrance Ridge, Space Place, Herb Garden, Druid Hill, Dick Pond, Cable Car Lookout and many sculptures like Pacemaker, Rudderstone etc. During summer, beautiful coloured lights are setup around Duck pond and make it an amazing place to visit in late evening. It is very well maintained and regularly looked after. Seating and benches are provided at regular distances for taking rest and enjoying the views. Lot of viewpoints with dedicated viewing areas and seats can be found during the walk. Good for visiting on a clear day to spend a great time. An ideal place to do a get-together or organise a picnic on a sunny day. A good place for families, kids and meditation. Ample parking space. Wheelchair parking is available and there is wheelchair accessible entrance. Public restrooms are available. This is a dog friendly garden.

Great garden to wander through and take in the sites. It is very steep in some parts - good exercise walking up! Many people take the cable car up and meander down through the gardens. A fantastic way to spend an afternoon.

Went on walks through the gardens all this week. It is beautifully maintained, varied areas of plant types. Love the special children's discovery area. The gardens suit a range of people's needs be it fitness, soaking in nature or educating ourselves.

Picnic cafe is pretty awesome. The staff are super friendly and most have been around a few years, which must mean they like it too. Great cheese scones, awesome location for meetings. The more I go there, the more I think it's a Wellington gem.

Absolutely beautiful. Over of the most well done gardens of this type I've visited. Real variety of plants and trees. Well worth the visit but it's hilly so start at the top (the city cable car will take you there) if you don't like walking uphill.
