  I wish there were better food options for patients seems mostly geared to hospital workers

  With only healthy choices the cafes quite nice. Coffee is good and staff have been nothing but friendly. Food very tasty. (Chowders and soups very good). Prices not so bad concidering the location.

  I spent the day at Wellington Hospital whilst a family member was having an operation. From morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea the staff never wiped the table surfaces once. A litter of crumbs remained on the table and this included late after noon when they were very quiet. It surprised me to see them remove the plates and plastic and ignore the surface. There was a constant stream of flies which went from table to table. The place felt and looked unclean. Each time I had to wipe away the food which remained on the table prior to sitting down The lack of care reflected the attitude of the staff employed. Management needs to be addressed as there was adequate staffing for the catering requirements. Staff training may be the main issue.

  The Saturday hours are listed online as 9am-5.30pm, but the girl at the counter said they were serving until 4.30pm and closing at 5pm. So at 3.15pm we came down from the ward, to find yes the counter was still open, but all the chairs were up on the tables, and other would-be customers were looking then leaving. She said off handly we could sit in the adjacent sofa area, where the tables had crumbs and food remnants on them. I asked for a cup of tea, and was told we could only have it in a take away cup. We felt totally stone walled, and had to leave and go elsewhere (Countdown, Colombus coffee) to find a clean friendly cafe where we could sit down to eat and drink. Wishbone needs to address this problem and/or change the hours it shows online.

  If i could rate a zero i would. Waited for our takeaway average coffee and mocha for 15 minutes when the place was dead only one other person was waiting 2 staff members on who found talking and sharing something funny more important than customer service. Extremely overpriced food $9.00 for a crappy tandori chicken wrap with 3 small chunks of chicken crappy old lettuce and soggy old tomatoes can see where the money goes its in the rediculous packaging. Was really interested in some fresh fruit early in the morning and there were 3 old apples up for grabs Wishbone in a hospital i would expect better service and better food its not hard.
