::Had a great lunch at Mrs Ms on Monday with my two granddaughters . Food was delicious and we all had iced coffees which were delicious. We went back for breakfast the next morning .The cafe is bright and lovely and friendly and we all had a different choice for our breakfasts . I had the smashed avo with a poached egg very very good . Allanah had the Gut buster and we had food envy it looked and she said tasted so good. Ruby went with eggs beni a favourite of hers and loved it . We will be back.Thank you

::The name of this cafe is Mrs M's. I think they have just given it an update because it looks really nice inside. On the coffees - they were reasonable. The milk foam on the capu and latte could be a lot better (fuller and more) On the food - pretty good but the selection is quite limited. A lot of sweet calo-rich options. So an ok place but they can do a lot better They do have high chairs for infants that are good

::Was 2-Stags but now Mrs M’s. 2 Stags was the only really consistent, coffee-snob espresso place in Timaru and now that it’s gone...I’m hunting for a new spot. They have not quite got their coffee right. It’s watery, as someone else observed, and they need to make the milk based espresso drinks a little quicker to keep the texture throughout the drink ... not sure if the watery flavours a blend of bean or the grind and tamp - but it’s leaving a strange aftertaste... shame - cause it’s a great venue I thought!

::It has indeed changed ownership and it is now called Mrs M's. We have had coffees and some pastries there today. Coffee was reasonable; not much foam on the cappuccino and it as a bit watery. Pastries were ok; sausage roll was not fully cooked, the dough was still quite soft. The lemon tart was also ok as the filling is quite good but the cup itself lacked crispness and a proper intense buttery taste. So a better choice than across the street but room for improvement

::This place has changed ownership recently so we thought we'd give it a go. The cafe has had a much needed clean up and redecoration however we found the food to be nothing special and not particularly good value. With so much good cafe competition in the town, I think they'll have to up their game to survive.
