::Terrible mechanics. Arranged 5 times to have my car looked at and was fobbed off every single time. Utter timewasters with organisational skills on a par with a confused jellyfish. Once I booked an appointment two weeks in advance, then took the car there on the day and even called when they opened just in case they forgot about me (as they had three times previously). At 5pm when I went to pick my car up, they said "sorry, but we didn't have time to do it today". After voicing my obvious frustrations, the guy told me to bring the car back in the morning, and they'd "try" to look at it then. I took that with a pinch of salt. I took it back the next day (5th time) and left it at the garage. When I picked it up at 5pm the garage was closed and nothing was done to my car except the diesel cap left open and the keys left in the ignition - though that's not a bad outcome compared to the guy that I saw minutes afterwards running down the road, furious that his car was left on the main road locked with no phone call about where the keys were left, and had no work completed on it for 4 weeks after leaving it with A1 Autos. After speaking to others, it seems that our stories aren't uncommon, and actually I got off pretty lightly. I am astounded that they are still in business, and that the mechanics have the intelligence to remember to breathe every few seconds.

::Got my car serviced and they said I need to replace alternative belt as it's not in good condition. They replaced the belt but in 3 days it got broken, they don't even know how to put the belt on. They never sent me my invoice, as promised I should have received it on my email. They just ripped me off. BEWARE DON'T GO THERE, THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY.

::Sam is amazing and fixed my car with in 2 hours (already knew what was wrong with it after hearing the model and year). My car sat in Arrowtown garage for 2 weeks and I was told they couldn't find the part to fix it, ultimately not fixable... glad I did my own research and was referred to A1 Auto. Great service
