  Not very nice, completely different to the advertising. Hardly any rooms and most of them look to be permanent WINZ housing.

  We stayed for one night to explore the town, having a small kitchen in the room was also an attractive feature for a busy traveller. As soon as i walked in, there was a smell of old couch, the decorative pillows also looked dirty. The beds seemed ok, so had no concerns until i started cooking. A large cockroach run out from behind the microwave and i got scared as it was so close to me. I panicked, slipped on the floor, hit my shoulder on the counter and fell on the floor. We asked for the ice, the attendant was helpful and reasonably prompt. He looked at the insect as we managed to catch it, and said it was a bush cockroach and they do pest control every two months. I was glad that we stayed only one night, yet my large bruise on the shoulder from the fall would be on my holiday pictures to remind me of this place.

  Excellent place to stay, quiet ,really friendly hosts, great for a weekend away to relax and enjoy napier
