  Haven’t even left Speights ale house on Bealey yet and I am already absolutely appalled with the service myself and friends are recieving. Right from the moment we walked in the waitresses were extremely rude - When ordering they were trying to rush us all (even though the place was empty, literally only one other table taken). Coffee was ordered. A flat white - what i received was a terrible burnt latte almost cappuccino. With the less people in here I would think the service would be absolutely amazing, but no. Nothing but rude waitresses and terrible service. Food options were minimal, especially for 11am in the morning. No brunch or breakfast menu as it had finished at 11am... but being a Sunday morning you would think they would have something going for a while longer? Will review the food once order has come. 10/10 would not come here again.

  Nice place with friendly staff. We had the garlic loaf and the mixed grill platter, the garlic loaf was nice and fresh with not too much butter, the mixed platter was OK but not fantastic. Still a nice place to go to.

  Lively pub. Always full of locals and tourists. Good food and generous portion sizes. Service can be a little slow.

  Hard to find a car park here. Overrated bar. Probably great for sport lovers but generic pub/bar for those who don't. Meals come in large portions which also reflect by the prices. Beers from Speight's do echo its Southern root. Recommended once for all but will probably not be my regular joint.
