  Popular simply because it's the only one of its kind in the area. It could be very good, on par with the French Deli and cafe a few doors away along with the other establishments also a cafe and milk bar across the road. It is oddly out of place in Devonport. With its peeling paint facade that continues inside it looks as if it should be in a shoddy part of Auckland. The menu is limited, the food is bland un-imaginative fare, staff are verging on grumpy and terse. I only use it in a hunger emergency, afterwards I feel replete but unsatisfied.

  Awsome old school no frills great vaule takaways highly recommended. Family run bussiness, hasnt changed owners at all, even the fish poster has been there since I can remember... at least 25 years.

  Great little local. Well priced, great takeaways, burgers, fish & chips etc. Give them a go. Then pic one of the many fantastic picnic sites around Devonport to enjoy them.
